The Aix-Marseille-Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry had created a club for help local businesses win contracts linked to the Paris 2024 Games. The CCI des Hautes-Alpes plans to do the same for the 2030 Winter Games. "The idea is to be able to alert our companies, guide them, train them and support them so that they can respond to the markets”, explains Régis Bouchacourt, vice-president of the CCI of Hautes-Alpes, to Le Dauphiné.
"Under this club, there are a multitude of interlocutors who speak with the same voice, specifies Frédéric Cavallino, president of the CCI. Working with the professional branches allows us to be all aligned. There is no obligation to use local companies, (…) May the best win, but at least our businesses can position yourself and respond » Including subcontracting.
"Our plan is to ensure that we are not sucked in by large national players and that our citizens benefit from the investments and the spin-offs.", continues Bouchacourt. There will be a lot of buyers, partners, hoteliers who will want to move upmarket, home renovation, businesses that will be required to comply with accessibility standards or websites to set up. The vice-president of the Hautes-Alpes Chamber of Commerce and Industry also believes that the commitment of local businesses will help to strengthen "the acceptability of the Olympic Games".
