No bad surprises in store for Zena Wooldridge (pictured above). President of the World Squash Federation (WSF), the British woman is assured of extending her tenure with a new mandate. She is in fact the only one in the running for the position of president. Elected for the first time in 2020, she will be re-elected at the WSF Annual General Meeting, scheduled for December 14 in Hong Kong. On the other hand, the battle looks uncertain for the two vacant vice-president positions, abandoned by the Egyptian Karim Darwish and the Colombian Pablo Serna. They are coveted by six candidates: Rosie Barry (Ireland), Nour El Tayeb (Egypt), Quamrul Islam (Bangladesh), David Mui (Hong Kong), Boye Oyerinde (Nigeria), and Marshall Pagon (United States). Two current vice-presidents, Susan Devoy (New Zealand) and Debendranath Sarangi (India), will keep their seats. After several unsuccessful attempts to integrate the Olympic Games program, squash has finally succeeded in its bet. It will be an additional sport at the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
