Gymnastics

Off to Croatia! The executive committee of the European Gymnastics Union (UEG), meeting in Lausanne in mid-January, officially awarded 2026 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Zagreb. The exact dates are yet to be specified, but the Croatian capital will host the event in August. The executive committee also validated its budget for the year and decided to exempt the Ukrainian Federation from its membership fee, as every year since the start of the war in 2022. The UEG is also launching a call for applications for numerous competitions planned between 2026 and 2028, including the 2026 European Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampoline Championships, the 2027 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, the 2028 European Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics Championships or the 2028 Golden Age Gym Festival. The next executive committee of the body is scheduled for June 21 and 22.
