The Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) continues to weave its web. After the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), World Squash has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the organization. It could allow the FI to reach over 60 million sports fans across the world, underlines the press release published Wednesday, through the channels of ANOC.
World Squash will indeed be able to share images and videos directly with NOCs via ANOC's digital content platform. This is a way to facilitate the promotion of its sport. ANOC will also promote World Squash events that are part of the Olympic qualification process, and World Squash will help ANOC broadcast live or recorded events on the ANOC.TV platform.
« This partnership demonstrates the added value of the digital content centre, not only for the NOCs, but also for FIs looking to maximize their reach and engagement, insists ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg. Through this MoU, World Squash will have access to our content distribution infrastructure and our direct channels to the NOCs, ensuring squash content reaches fans and communities across continents as the sport prepares for its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028. »
William Louis-Marie, Director General of World Squash, joins her: “ Squash is on a really exciting trajectory, and this partnership will help increase the visibility of our sport and the incredible athletes who play it, especially as we prepare for our Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028. This collaboration offers an essential platform for direct dialogue with NOCs of the whole world. »
