World Lacrosse now has a Inclusion Advisory Council (IAC)The FI has announced the launch of this body, whose role will be to help World Lacrosse to integrate inclusion principles and practices throughout the organization. It replaces two commissions created in 2020, the Women in Sport Commission and the Diversity and Opportunities Commission, to gain efficiency.
The IAC meets annually as a group and works in smaller meetings with World Lacrosse staff to exchange and promote ideas of inclusion so that they become mainstream in thinking and functioning. The IAC will also advise the World Lacrosse Board of Directors and national governing bodies upon request. This Council currently consists of eight people, seven women and one man, representing the United States, Germany, Australia, Japan, Zambia and the Iroquois Federation.
