Saudi Arabia is taking up more and more space, but its neighbor is not giving up. Qatar has obtained the organization of the 2026 World Shooting Championships. It will welcome in advance the 2025 World Cup Final. The exact dates are yet to be confirmed but the ISSF has already specified that the two events will integrate rifle, pistol and shotgun shooting. The emirate has already hosted three World Cup stages, but never the World Championships. The last edition of the Worlds took place in Azerbaijan in 2023The ISSF Executive Committee also announced a change to the World Cup calendar rifle shooting: the round planned for Rabat (Morocco) in spring 2026 will finally take place in Tangier, from March 23 to April 2.
