World Boxing surpasses 150 member federations

The World Boxing Executive Board approved 15 new membership applications of national boxing federations. The countries concerned are: Bahrain, Bangladesh, Eswatini, Faroe Islands, Guyana, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Niger, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Seychelles, Togo, and Tunisia. World Boxing now has 152 national member federations : 123 full members, one associate member and 28 approved members.

In accordance with World Boxing statutes, the 15 national federations mentioned now have the status of accredited member, which allows them to participate in competitions, but not to vote at the 2026 CongressThis will be reserved for full members. Full membership can only be conferred by the Congress. These federations will be able to acquire this status once their application for membership has been ratified by the Congress. They will therefore be eligible to vote starting with the Congress of the following year, in 2027.
