World Boxing has ratified the candidacy of 49 new national federations at its congress in Rome. It now has 124 members, 123 of whom have full membership 40 in Europe, 33 in Asia, 28 in the Americas, 15 in Africa, and 8 in Oceania. These 123 federations will therefore be able to vote at the 2026 Congress. As an associate member, GB Boxing will be able to participate, but without voting rights. A solid foundation for Gennadiy Golovkin to get started his term as head of the body.
