World Boxing strengthens its international presence with seven new member federations

The list is growing. The World Boxing Executive Committee has approved seven new membership applications emanating from the national boxing federations of Antigua and Barbuda, Cameroon, Curaçao, Gabon, Grenada, South Africa, and Vanuatu, World Boxing now has 175 national member federations, including 123 "full members", one "associate member" and 51 "approved members".

Antigua and Barbuda, Cameroon, Gabon, Grenada, South Africa and Vanuatu will be able to participate in the boxing events of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games starting this summer. However, their national federations will not be able to vote in the Congress scheduled to take place in Panama on November 20thThey will obtain this right once their status is ratified, which could allow them to vote from the 2027 Congress onwards.
