Positive attracts positive. Provisionally recognized by the IOC as the IF governing boxing, World Boxing continues to expand its membership.The organization hosted six new members : China, Turkey, Sudan, Greece, Montenegro and Slovakia. It now has 84 affiliated national federations. Good news compared to the IOC representativeness requirements, including on the Olympic medallists side, since China and Turkey won five and three medals respectively at Paris 2024. Arrivals which are still increasing "World Boxing's global reach across five continents", welcomes its president, Boris van der Vorst. "The addition of six additional members is further evidence of broad support that exists in our sport with regard to the work that World Boxing does for offer a better future to boxers and ensure that boxing remains at the heart of the Olympic movement."
