"I am incredibly proud of the progress we have made so far to increase the representation of women in athletics, as evidenced by the parity of our Council, says Sebastian Coe, president of World Athletics. This strategy reflects our ongoing commitment to ensure that women are not only present, but that they occupy a prominent place in management and decision-making roles across our sport. We know there are still challenges to overcome in getting more female coaches, referees and administrators involved in athletics, but we are committed to promote equality and the opportunity to drive lasting change around the world.”
