World Archery does business with China

Archery

The International Archery Federation (World Archery) is also turning to Asia. Very trendy and not really a surprise for a sport dominated by South Korea. But it is not only doing it for its events, like many bodies in the Olympic movement. It has announced that it has signed a three-year partnership contract (2025 to 2027) with the Chinese group Shanghai Media Tech (SMT). Objective: the technical production of international archery events, including the World Cup and the world championships. As part of this agreement, SMT will build and operate a new concept, a custom-made cube, equipped with arrow tracking and visualization technology based on artificial intelligence. Its name: InnoMotion. Presented for the first time last year during the Shanghai stage of the World Cup, it was used at the Paris 2024 Games. The concept was even recently selected for the Sports Broadcast Awards in the category "best use of technology in a sports production".
