The HydroGrip ball produced by KAP7 will now be used for all World Aquatics water polo competitions, including the World Championships and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The IF has formalized a multi-year partnership with the American company, founded in 2004 by two former players, Bradley Schumacher and Wolf Wigo. The two parties will also collaborate outside of competitions, particularly in Africa, to develop the discipline.
President Husain Al-Musallam welcomed the agreement in a statement: « Working with KAP7 brings new opportunities to World Aquatics and our water polo community. KAP7 is a young and dynamic company at the forefront of manufacturing, particularly with its water polo balls. Not only will it supply World Aquatics events balloons of the highest quality, but it also shares a vision that will elevate the overall sporting experience and the fan experience at our games.”
