The calendar is accelerating for Milan-Cortina 2026. Present at the Paris Games at the head of a delegation of more than a hundred people, the general director of the organizing committee, Andrea Vanier, detailed the next most significant steps in the preparation of the Winter Games. The most immediate: the launch of the volunteer program. It is scheduled for next week, Thursday, September 19. Registration will open online on that date. The launch will be accompanied by the announcement of an ambassador for the program, a " Very popular Italian », whose identity has not been revealed. Next step: the start of ticket sales, by the end of the year, with a first phase in B2B. On February 6, 2025, the Italians will mark the symbolic date of D – 1 year before the opening of the Olympic Games with a series of activities. Finally, the torch journey will begin in mid-April, simultaneously in Milan and Osaka, on the first day of the Universal Exhibition 2025 in Japan.
