
After Poland in 2024, Turkey in 2025. European Coastal Rowing Championships will take place this year in Antalya, on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. The competitions will take place more precisely in Manavgat district, “known for its sandy beaches and clear waters” according to European Rowing, which sees it “an exceptional setting”. Turkey had already hosted the European Rowing Championships for Under-23s in 2024 in Edirne. Annamarie Phelps, president of the European body, welcomed the country's commitment in a press release: “After the excellent organisation of the European Rowing U23 Championships in Edirne, we are delighted to see Turkey hosting another key event in the European rowing calendar . Antalya's coastal environment and passion for the sport will undoubtedly create a spectacular setting for the European Championships."
