Tunisia does not want to apologize

CAN

Threatened with sanctions for having reacted virulently to the elimination of its team at CAN 2015, the Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) does not intend to apologize to the Confederation of African Football (CAF). “Why the apology? We asked CAF to tell us what we should apologize for. We said that the referee made mistakes against us. We asked that CAF open an investigation,” the vice-president of the Federation, Maher Snoussi, explained to AFP. CAF ordered the FTF to apologize before February 5 at midnight for its “insinuations of bias and lack of ethics against CAF and its officials, or failing to present irrefutable and tangible evidence to support the offensive remarks of the FTF”. In the event of refusal, Tunisia would be excluded from CAN-2017.
