Ingmar de Vos will step down as president of the International Equestrian Federation at the end of the year. The FEI has approved three candidates to succeed him: Canadian Mark Samuelwho served on the board of directors for 12 years and was vice-president until 2024; the Salvadoran Sabrina Ibáñez, secretary general since 2014; and Taiwanese Jack Huang, vice-president of the FEI since 2019. The election will take place during the General Assembly on December 5 in Jiangyin (China).
De Vos has already praised the quality of the three candidates: I am delighted that three equally respected and experienced individuals have decided to run for the FEI presidency. Mark Samuel, Sabrina Ibáñez and Jack Huang have each brought a exceptional contribution to the FEI for many yearsand I know they share a deep commitment to the values and future of our sport.
