No suspense in sight at the International Canoe Federation (ICF). The body is holding its annual congress this week (November 7 and 8) in Antalya, Turkey. It will be elective, as after each edition of the Olympic Games. And, less usual, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the creation of the ICF. In place since 2021, the German Thomas Konietzko is the only candidate for the post of president. He will therefore be re-elected for a second consecutive term. The same is true for the three vice-presidential seats, since the three outgoing members are all candidates once again, but without the slightest opposition: the Spaniard Lluis Rabaneda i Caselles and the Argentine Cecilia Farias will seek a new term in Antalya, while the Italian Luciano Buonfiglio will aim for a more lasting election to this post, after having held it on an interim basis.
