Renaud Muselier, the president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region, inaugurated the Regional Parliament of the 2030 Games. He thus wishes to involve all local forces with three guidelines: coordinate initiatives linked to the Winter Games, connect the project objectives and the needs of the territory, foster dialogue and catalyse initiatives. The Parliament was launched in the presence of athletes such as skiers Cyprien Sarrazin and Arthur Bauchet, presidents of sports federations, elected officials and experts, including François Gemenne, researcher and member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), or the actor Samuel Le Bihan, who also founded a plastic waste processing company. "I am attached to the mountain and to this territory of emotions, explained the comedian, father of a daughter with autism. I want to be part of this adventure, propose things to the region, particularly on disability. Eager to “capture all the good ideas”, Renaud Muselier launched an appeal to all citizens: "We want everyone who wants to participate in the discussions around the Games to be able to do so. We need to imagine what our mountains will be like in 2050 and everything that could be done by then, we will do it by 2030." The regional parliament will serve as a framework for all these reflections.
