La World Sledding Day will be celebrated on January 18. Events and introductory sessions will take place in many countries throughout that weekend. From January 12 to 20, the FIL invites everyone to share photos, videos, and anecdotes related to the sport, using the hashtags #WorldLugeDay and #SlidingIntoTheWeekendin order to give these events even more visibility.
Events are planned in Berchtesgaden (Germany), Mallnitz (Austria), Lake Placid (USA), and Park City (USA). In Poland, specifically in Muszyna Złockie in the south of the country, this weekend will coincide with the first edition of the Polish Championships, which will be open to both athletes and amateurs.
