
Egypt will host the first edition of the African Flag Football Championships, June 20 and 21, in Cairo. A founding event that will qualify for the 2026 World Championships. Alongside the competition, Cairo will host various events dedicated to American football. Several NFL players will be there for the occasion, including Bobby Okereke (Nigeria), linebacker for the New York Giants, and Brian Asamoah II (Ghana), linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings. A U12 team tournament coming from different African countries will also be organized.
