The president of the organizing committee, Massimo Ferrarese, also gave an update on the progress of the preparations: " We launched construction sites worth 275 million euros, spread over 41 projects in 21 municipalities. 180 million euros for the city of Taranto alone were allocated to the Olympic swimming pools, the PalaRicciardi, a nautical center, the Magna Grecia tennis center, a skatepark, Palamazzola and the Iacovone stadium in Taranto, all within the planned timeframe.
