Lacrosse

World Lacrosse has officially welcomed Bangladesh to its roster. The IF now has 94 members, including 21 in the Asia-Pacific region. “We are pleased to welcome Bangladesh into our family and the Asia Pacific Lacrosse Union (APLU), explains World Lacrosse Director of Sport TJ Buchanan. We are grateful for the efforts made by Bangladeshis to foster the emergence of a community of players, and we look forward to the new and exciting opportunities for competition in this region.”

The APLU has now added at least one member in each of the last four years. The Union has emphasized international competition opportunities for new members in South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East, as evidenced by the Asian Lacrosse Games, the second edition of which is scheduled for October in Saudi Arabia.
