The ballot boxes have spoken. Six athletes were elected by their peers to sit on the World Boxing Athletes' Commission on the sidelines of World Championships in LiverpoolTheir names: Buse Naz Çakıroğlu (Turkey), Caitlin Parker (Australia), Daniel Pitt (Wales), Richard Torrez Jr. (United States), Yojerlin Cesar (France) and Zareen Nikhat (India).
Torrez Jr. (left in the photo) reacted to this result on the FI website: " It is an honor. We can now count on a commission composed of different voices from different regions of the worldThis is extremely important, because my problem is not necessarily that of a person living on another continent. "This commission aims to ensure that boxers have a say in the development of the organization. Two of its members will soon be chosen to serve as athlete representatives, and thus participate in the meetings of the World Boxing executive committee.
