Seven new full members have joined the World Baseball/Softball Confederation (WBSC) at the FI congress. Africa arrives in force with the federations of Chad, Guinea, Nigeria and South Sudan. Jordan, Luxembourg and North Korea complete this new arrival.

The WBSC now has 207 members: 192 national federations and 15 associate members. Congress also approved three new associate members: the American Association of Professional Baseball, the Alternative Baseball organization, and finally Na7ive Na7ions.

The Congress also shared several governance news. Unified federations were established in Cuba and Russia, while several federations have expanded their prerogatives to include both baseball and softball: this is the case for Nicaragua, Portugal, the British Virgin Islands, Saint Martin and the Saipan Baseball League.
