FIFA

Football is coming home! FIFA has confirmed that it has received a single valid application for the organization of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2035 : that presented by England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The English Football Association's chief executive, Mark Bullingham, welcomed the announcement in a statement: “We are honored to be the sole candidate to host the 2035 FIFA Women's World Cup. Hosting the first FIFA World Cup in England since 1966, with our national partners, will be very special. The hard work begins now, in order to present the best possible application by the end of the year." The 2031 edition is expected to take place in the United States., the only country to have come forward. These two attributions will not be official until after a vote of the FIFA Congress, but the operation already seems to be finalized. "The path is paved for the Women's World Cup to take place in 2031 and 2035 in major nations to further boost the progress of women's football.", commented FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the UEFA Congress.
