The Tour de France will have its final stage inspired by Paris 2024!

A sweet perfume of Paris 2024 will once again envelop Montmartre this summer. According to Le Parisien and France Info, the authorities have in fact given their authorization for the last stage of the Tour de France take the legendary rue Lepic for go up to Montmartre, as during the Olympic Games. A novelty which promises to energize a stage that often boils down to a sprint, without any real animation beforehand, and to add an additional sporting interest, in addition to the popular jubilation that is announced. The peloton should thus climb three times to the Sacré-Cœur, before heading towards the Champs-Elysées. Despite the initial reservations of the police headquarters as for the necessary security and logistics, Paris City Hall and President Emmanuel Macron have given their support to this project, terribly exciting for all cycling lovers. ASO, organizer of the Tour de France, should formalize the exact route in the coming weeks. The Grand Départ of the race is scheduled for July 5 in Lille, and it will end in Paris on July 27.
