Brazil will host the Para Badminton World Championships in February 2028, a few months before the Los Angeles Paralympic Games. The American continent has only hosted one edition so far, in Guatemala in 2011. Brazil had already organized a major Paralympic Movement event last year: the Para-cycling Track World Championships, in Rio de Janeiro, at the velodrome that was used during the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
