Olympic Solidarity Forum opens "promising horizons" for Africa

The Regional Olympic Solidarity Forum ended on May 5 at Cairo Olympic Center, the future site of the 2027 African Games. The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) took stock of the event in a press release. Representatives of the 54 NOCs from the continent were able to " explore the opportunities offered by the Olympic Solidarity 2025-2028 four-year plan ". The workshops thus allowed participants to " to deepen their knowledge of the different available financing programs to support the preparation of high-level athletes, the promotion of Olympic values, the development of national sports systems and the strengthening governance within sports organizations ».

ANOCA President Mustapha Berraf stressed the importance of this forum for the future of African sport: "This forum opens promising horizons for our continentThe Olympic Solidarity programs represent a unique opportunity that every African NOC must fully seize. I invite all our members touse these resources effectively made available to them for develop the talent of our African youth and improve our performance on the international stage. The total consumption of allocated credits is not just an administrative objective, it is a duty towards our athletes and our communities."
