NOCs to be dressed by China

ANOC

Nice catch for ANOC. The Association of National Olympic Committees took advantage of its annual general assembly last week in Cascais, Portugal, to sign a partnership contract with Chinese equipment manufacturer Peak Sport. It covers the next eight years, until the Brisbane Games in 2032. Announced value: $7,1 million. Under this in-kind agreement, all National Olympic Committees that presented six or fewer athletes at the Paris 2024 Games – there were 72 of them – will be able to receive free kits provided by Peak Sport for all Olympic events until 2032, namely the Milan-Cortina 2026, Los Angeles 2028, the French Alps 2030 and Brisbane 2032, as well as the Youth Games during the same period. These same National Olympic Committees will also be able to purchase kits made by the Chinese brand at a reduced price for their multi-sport competitions at the continental level. Finally, the agreement provides for the supply by Peak Sport of official outfits for ANOC staff and members of the executive committee, i.e. around sixty people.
