The Moroccan NOC presents its new athletes' commission

The new members of the Athletes' Commission of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM) were elected on May 11, 2025 in Rabat. It is composed of five members, including three women. Sofiane El Bakkali is its president. The double Olympic and world champion in the 3.000 m steeplechase is used to flying the flag for his country. He brought home one of only two medals for Morocco at the Paris 2024 Games, with the bronze medal for the men's football team.

The rider Noor Slaoui, who also participated in the last Olympic Games, is elected as a member of the CNOM Executive Committee. Ibtissam Marirhi (sport shooting) and Bilal Mallakh (breakdance) will have the status of member of the CNOM General Assembly, and Safia Salih (taekwondo) that of simple member. The CNOM Athletes' Commission is elected for a four-year renewable term and must allow athletes' voices to be heard within the body, ensuring that they are supported and their interests are taken into consideration.
