Sobriety at the heart of the COJOP budget

French Alps 2030

The French Alps 2030 Board of Directors has approved the first multi-year budget of the Games organizing committee. This budget " achieved the sobriety objective set at the time of application, with a total amount of 2,1 billion euros, balanced between forecast revenue and expenditure ", underlines the COJOP in the press release shared Monday evening.

The budget is based on " mainly on own resources " since only 26% of funding is public. " The remaining revenue will be generated through the International Olympic Committee (30%, from the TOP Partners global program and television rights) and finally by the COJOP itself through its commercial activities. ", The statement said.

Preparation and management of the sites and events represent almost 50% of the expenses. The remaining costs will be marketing, commercial, administrative and human resources. Reserves for inflation and contingencies, which will only be mobilized when needed ", are also counted.

« This first multi-year budget reconciles the objective of sober and respectful Games for public finances with the ambition to deliver spectacular Games, useful to the territory, to sport, and to all French people, says COJOP president Edgar Grospiron. This budget now serves as a guide, giving us the means to achieve our mission, while committing us to maintaining this objective of sobriety throughout the next four years. »
