FIBA confirmed on Tuesday that Mongolia will host the 3x3 Asian Basketball Cup in two years, from March 31 to April 4, 2027. It is the capital Ulaanbaatar which was chosen to host the matches. The recent success of the World Cup in Sukhbaatar Square, which brought together more than 50.000 spectators, is obviously not for nothing. The Mongolian women's team had fully contributed to this popular success by reaching the final. The team was then received by the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh.
« We are delighted to return to Ulaanbaatar, ten years after Mongolia made history by hosting the first ever Asian Cup. " said Alex Sanchez, FIBA 3x3 General Director. Mongolia recently hosted the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup in 2019, the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup in 2024, the annual FIBA 3x3 Women's Series and the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.
