The Women's Rugby World Cup wants to go green. A environmental sustainability program will be implemented in all eight tournament venues. It is structured around measurable objectives, including a reduction of carbon emissions compared to baseline forecasts and an assessment of each venue. World Rugby has also awarded specific grants to fund local initiatives: water refilling stations in Bristol, tree planting and bird box installations in Brighton, electric vehicle charging stations in Northampton, LED lighting to reduce energy consumption to Exeter and Sunderland, etc.
