La International Table Tennis Federation officially awarded four major events on Saturday. Youth World Championships will take place in Asunción (Paraguay) in 2027 and in the Cappadocia region (Türkiye) in 2028. The choice of Asunción is not insignificant. for the Paraguayan capital, which also hopes to host the Youth Olympic Games in 2030.
These World Championships enrich an already extensive portfolio of events, which notably includes the World Skate Games in October 2026, and the Pan American Games in 2031The IOC will decide at the end of June between Asunción, Bangkok and Santiago for the 2030 Youth Olympic Games.
The ITTF has also entrusted the World Masters Championships in Las Vegas for 2027, and in Istanbul for 2028. The federation clearly has a great confidence in Turkeyand Istanbul intends to reciprocate: it aims to organize " the greatest ITTF Masters World Championships in history ", by welcoming more than 6.000 players to a single site.
