The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Board of Directors allocates competitions. At its monthly meeting, it awarded the finals of the 2027 World Cup for Show Jumping, Dressage and Vaulting in Gothenburg. The Swedish city is not the only one to have been served. In neighboring Denmark, Randbøl will host the 2027 European Dressage and Para Dressage Championships.
Other European Championships have been awarded: in 2027, the show jumping championships will be held in Waregem (Belgium), the vaulting championships in Verolanuova (Italy), and the driving championships in Baborowko (Poland). Finally, the 2027 and 2028 Driving World Cup finals will be held in Bordeaux.
« The allocation of major finals and championships for 2027 and 2028 is very good news and demonstrates a healthy interest in hosting major FEI events ", says its president, Ingmar De Vos. We are very happy to return to a historic site such as Gothenburg, which has hosted the FEI World Cup Finals for Show Jumping and Dressage on multiple occasions. » He also pointed out the role of the European Championships in Waregem and Randboel in obtaining " opportunities, quotas for the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Los Angeles 2028 ", as well as " the excellent facilities » from Bordeaux.
The Board of Directors also approved new dates for the 2026 European Dressage Championships for Children and Juniors, in Olomouc (Czech Republic): they will not take place in August, but from July 13 to 19. The World Single Driving Championships will take place in Munich from September 1 to 6, 2026, whereas they were initially planned to be held in August.
