Cancelled this year, the SportAccord convention will return to Baku, Azerbaijan, May 24-28, 2026The agreement was officially signed with the host city. The Heydar Aliyev Center will host the opening ceremony, and the rest of the program will take place at the Congress CentreInternational federations, the IOC and event host cities will meet to discuss and shape the future of sport.
SportAccord President Professor Uğur Erdener reacted to the announcement: “ We are delighted to host the 19th edition of the world's largest gathering of sports leaders in Baku in 2026. Baku has already proven itself in organizing world-class events, and it will be an important moment for both SportAccord and the entire global sports industry. Delegates can expect world-class facilities, to the warmth of Azerbaijani hospitality and an environment conducive to new connections and meaningful opportunities for the future of sport. »
