Taekwondowon officially becomes a virtual taekwondo training center. A memorandum of understanding was signed in Seoul between World Taekwondo, represented by its president Chungwon Choue, and the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation (TPF), chaired by Jungheon Kim. This strategic partnership aims to actively promote virtual taekwondo to ensure its presence at the eSports Olympic Games and to position taekwondo as a modern sport in tune with its times.
Located in South Korea, a few kilometers from Daegu, this training center will be the first dedicated to virtual taekwondo and eSports. It will notably offer courses of certification for competition operators and development paths for technical officials. A virtual amateur taekwondo league will also be launched.
