Singapore, “a strong and reliable partner” for World Aquatics

The World Swimming Championships, hosted by Singapore from July 11 to August 3, met the expectations of World Aquatics. President Husain Al Musallam was enthusiastic when he took stock of the event. Singapore has proven time and time again that it is an exceptional host for World Aquatics events, and the 2025 World Aquatics Championships were no exception, he said. As first edition of the Championships to take place in Southeast Asia, this event marked an important milestone for our sport. »

Until now, the World Championships had only been held in four Asian countries: Japan (2001, 2023), China (2011), South Korea (2019) and Qatar (2024). Singapore offered a world-class experience to athletes, teams and spectators, added President Al-Musallam. Singapore continues to set high standards of excellence, and we are proud to have such a strong and reliable partner in this region important of the world. » Three world records, 15 World Championship records, and 28 continental records were broken in the Singapore pool. Summer McIntosh and Léon Marchand were named swimmers of the championships.
