Senegal wants to shine in Rio

Football

Aliou Cissé, the national coach of Senegal, completed a training course last week whose objective was to set up a competitive team for the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. This group brought together 25 local players, from the national teams of youth. Other courses are planned for May, June and July in order to expand the group to include expatriate players. There is still a long road to Rio, but the coach does not want to wait before creating a group and uniting everyone around an Olympic project. With this in mind, the team will participate in the Francophonie Games in Nice next September, and in the African Games in Congo in 2015.
