The curtain has fallen on the Paris 2024 Games, but Seine-Saint-Denis does not intend to give up its Olympic and Paralympic ambitions forever. Several municipalities in the department have taken advantage of the presence in their territory of representatives from Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 to prepare for what comes next. Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen have been the most active. They have concluded cooperation agreements with American and Australian cities where competitions will be held in 2028 and then in 2032. Saint-Denis has even done a double duty. It has signed a partnership with Los Angeles, but also with Gold Coast (photo above). The Queensland city, located an hour's drive south of Brisbane, is proposed by the organizing committee to host the Olympic volleyball and beach volleyball events, weightlifting, judo, wrestling, triathlon, open water swimming and part of the football tournament.
