Sales continue to climb

Paris 2024

The popular success of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games is unabated. It is growing. The spokesperson for the organising committee, Anne Descamps, announced on Monday 2 September that the 2,3 million ticket sales mark had been reached. The record still belongs to London 2012, with 2,7 million tickets. It will not be surpassed, as the OCOG has reduced the number of places on sale for the 2024 Games to 2.5/2.6 million. But the French organisers have more than doubled the number of tickets sold since the start of the Olympic Games. The interest of the French public can also be measured on television and at the celebration sites. France Télévisions announced that more than 20 million people had followed the Paralympic events on its channels during the day of Saturday, August 30. On the same day, the Club France at La Villette welcomed more than 20.000 people, who came to watch the competitions on a giant screen and celebrate the French medalists.
