A question of FrancsJeux, the director of the organizing committee's volunteer program, Alexandre Morenon-Conde, recognized the presence of Russians among the contingent of 45.000 volunteers at the Olympic Games. “ We have some, but we have few”, he explained. Initially retained by the OCOG, the Russian volunteers were rejected a few months before the Games by the services of the French Ministry of the Interior. Several of them mobilized to try to reverse this decision. It seems that their approach was successful, but Alexandre Morenon-Conde did not mention the number of Russian volunteers present at the Olympic Games. The 45.000 volunteers selected represent 101 French departments. A fifth of the workforce is made up of foreigners. In total, a third of them are under 25 and 10% are over 60. The youngest is 16 years old, the oldest 94 years old.
