The Urban Sports Summit will be held in two months, May 29 and 30, on the sidelines of the Montpellier International Extreme Sports Festival. Public decision-makers, private partners and experts will exchange views over two days on the opportunities and challenges of the urban sports industry, in full expansion. Sporting Event Territories (TES) has confirmed that it will be directly involved in this summit. The association, which represents the voice of local authorities to sporting event organizers, will send four representatives to speak at the summit on Thursday, May 29.
Mathieu Hanotin, Mayor of Saint-Denis and President of TES, will present the association's role and current events in hosting major international sporting events. Pierre Rabadan, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Quentin Gesell, Vice President of the Greater Paris Metropolis responsible for sports development, will speak on the legacy of Paris 2024.Finally, Raphaël Blanchard, Deputy Mayor of Reims responsible for the Active and Sporting City, will address the subject of “Making the city a sports ground” to discuss the democratization of access to urban disciplines.The summit will also focus on Generation Z engagement, the economic impact of immersive experiences, and urban sports as a tool for inclusion.
