Paraguay has officially inaugurated its Olympic Aquatic Center (CAD), considered as the most modern facility of its type in South AmericaThis project, one of the most emblematic of the legacy of the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games, required 15 million investment. It meets the highest technical standards of World Aquatics and symbolizes Paraguay's commitment to becoming a regional center for high-performance sport.
The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, was also present for the ceremony, as was the president of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, Camilo Pérez López Moreira, the president of Panam Sports, Neven Ilic, and the Minister of Sports, César Ramírez Caje. The CAO could be used in the future for Youth Olympic Games, which Paraguay hopes to organize in 2030.
