It's official, the World Para Shooting Championships will be held next year in Changwon, South Korea, from September 3 to 14, 2026. 300 athletes are expected on site for this event which will offer quotas for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. South Korea will host the World Championships for the second time after the 2018 edition in Cheongju. The Changwon shooting range is well known to the best shooters on the planet since it hosted a stage of the Para Shooting World Cup over the past four years.
He had also welcomed the ISSF World Shooting Championships in 2018. "Changwon is the ideal host for the first World Championships of the LA2028 Games cycle. With proven facilities and an experienced organizing committee, we are delighted to return to Korea”, said Tyler Anderson, CEO of World Shooting Para Sport.
