Paddle Worldwide will fully reinstate Russian and Belarusian athletes from January 1, 2027The FI board of directors approved the lifting of all restrictions planned until then. Athletes and support staff from Russia and Belarus will thus be able to participate by fully representing their country with distinctive symbols, outfits, flags and national anthems.
« Demonstrations organized from January 1, 2027 onwards will have to to guarantee access and full national participation for all eligible athletes and to all the athletes' support staff " explains Paddle Worldwide. However, Restrictions may remain in place for events already allocated., depending on the rules of each host country. Paddle Worldwide presents two scenarios: limited national representation, without flags and national anthems, or neutral individual participation.
