The State and the Regions have also validated several principles of the "financial pact" for these Games, notably " a fair 50/50 split between the State and the Regions with regard to public contributions " as well as " common rules and mechanisms for monitor the evolution of expenses " Prime Minister François Bayrou affirmed his support for the Games, believing that " It is not money that we spend, it is a pledge of investment for the future ", while promising that " not a euro more " would not be granted for the organization.
« This CIJOP marks a founding step, comments Edgar Grospiron, president of OCOG. It fixes the main areas of public action around the Games : development of sports practices, ecological transition, attractiveness of mountain areas and inclusion. These priorities fully resonate with the vision we have for 2030. The OCOG is now in working order. Our teams are being structured, our roadmap is being refined, our ambition remains intact: to make the Games a lever of useful, sustainable legacy, faithful to the values of Olympism. I thank all the stakeholders for their trust. Together, we will write a page of history. » The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region has also announced an investment plan of 520 million euros to improve accessibility to the Southern Alps, notably thanks to the modernization of the Marseille-Briançon railway line.
