Olympic rings sold

Australia

Auctioned on Ebay since the start of the week, the Olympic rings hung on the Sydney Harbor Bridge during the 2000 Games have found a buyer. No less than 17 bids were placed. The last one, declared the winner, reached the sum of 21.000 Australian dollars, or approximately 15.000 euros. The five rings, 35 m high and 70 m wide, were priced at 8000 Australian dollars. They were put up for sale by an Australian business leader who had discovered them in a building he had purchased.
