Olympic rings at auction

Australia

Singular story. The Olympic rings hanging from the Sydney Harbor Bridge during the 2000 Summer Games have been put up for auction on Ebay. According to the local press, the seller came into possession of these rings after purchasing the building where they had been stored for several years. He explained that he wanted to make room, hence his decision to put them up for auction. Starting price: 8000 dollars. The seller specified that delivery, in the event of a transaction, would only be possible in Australia. We understand why: the five Olympic rings, 75 m wide and 35 m high, would weigh around 35 tonnes.
